Description
This 45 rpm vinyl record features the single "I'm On Fire" by 5.000 Volts (Crazy People), in its original version released by Philips. The sleeve boasts a typical 1970s photographic visual, with a dominant blue hue and a yellow border surrounding an image of a woman in scant clothing, a suggestive pose, and long blonde hair, characteristic of the graphic style of the era. The title lettering, in white, is prominent and occupies the upper part of the sleeve, while the band's name is highlighted in bright orange, just below. The Philips logo, visible in the top right, confirms the edition and authenticity of the pressing.
The visible side of the sleeve shows significant signs of wear: blunted corners, visible creases, scratches and scuffs on the edges, as well as a handwritten sticker in the bottom left corner bearing the words "Soul music" and the number "17". These elements indicate old and frequent use, typical of vinyl records that circulated in the 70s-80s. The central photo, printed on a matte finish, still retains vibrant colors despite the apparent age of the object.
This 45 rpm, a classic vinyl single format, is an emblematic medium of the disco and pop period of the 1970s. The overall aesthetic, both in terms of graphic composition and the choice of colors and fonts, clearly evokes this decade. The absence of any precise date on the visible side does not prevent identifying a typical design of musical productions from this period.
The record, not visible here, was generally housed inside this flexible cardboard sleeve, standard for 45 rpm records of the time. The sleeve's visual, with its retro style and suggestive ambiance, is particularly sought after by vintage decoration enthusiasts and pop/disco music lovers.
