Description

Old 19th-century handwritten document, dated September 20, 1816, presented on laid paper or old administrative paper. The cursive, ample, and regular handwriting is typical of civil and notarial acts from this period.

The document bears a 75-centime printed tax stamp, accompanied by a circular seal mentioning Louis XVIII King of France, with a heraldic design under a crown. The text refers to a matter of succession, division, and usufruct rights, with several legible family names, notably Colombet, as well as mentions related to Saint-Étienne.

The piece presents an interesting documentary composition: tightly spaced handwritten lines, marginal notes, signatures, and handwritten marks at the bottom of the act, giving the whole the authentic character of French administrative writings from the Restoration period.

Dated 1816, this document belongs to the period of the French Restoration, under the reign of Louis XVIII.
