Detailed Visual Description

An old financial document, this is a bearer share certificate issued by the Société Anonyme des Anciens Établissements Labinal & Leven. This certificate is dated June 15, 1930, as indicated by the handwritten inscription visible on the main side. The document features a typical layout from the 1920s-1930s, with an ornamental grey-green frame with geometric patterns, enhancing the official and secure appearance of the paper. In the center, the company name and the words "ACTION DE 100 FRANCS AU PORTEUR" (BEARER SHARE OF 100 FRANCS) are printed in capital letters, with an imposing and clear typography, underlined by a grey band. A large yellow diagonal watermark bearing the company's name is also visible.

The main side displays several handwritten signatures of administrators as well as circular red stamps, guaranteeing the authenticity of the document of the time. The registered office is indicated as Paris. The share number "050137" is clearly visible, as are the legal notices and issuance conditions, written in small characters below the main title.

On the lower part, the document includes a grid of detachable coupons, each mentioning the share number and the coupon period. The coupons are printed on a light yellow background with a frame, and stamped with the same red stamp as the main body. Some coupons are already detached, which is common for this type of old security. The back is not visible in the photo.

The paper texture appears slightly embossed, with a meticulous print typical of securities documents from the interwar period. The color palette (grey, pale yellow, black, and touches of red) contributes to the vintage and institutional appearance of this old share certificate.

The main visible inscriptions are: "SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME DES ANCIENS ÉTABLISSEMENTS LABINAL & LEVEN" "ACTION DE 100 FRANCS AU PORTEUR" "N° 050137" "Paris, June 15, 1930" as well as signatures of administrators and various official stamps.

Condition

Used document, sold as is. Shows signs of wear consistent with its age: slightly dog-eared corners, some visible folds, partially detached coupons. The print remains clear and legible on the main side.

Did you know? Bearer shares were commonly used in France until the mid-20th century. They allowed their holder to remain anonymous and were negotiable without nominal registration. Industrial companies like Labinal & Leven often used this mode of financing to develop their activities during the interwar period.
