Description

This vintage document is a bearer share issued by the Compagnie Française de l?Industrie de la Maille, also known as "Coframaille". The visible side of the share features a wide decorative pastel blue border with geometric patterns, surrounding text printed in blue on a cream background. The words "Action de 50 Francs au porteur" (50 Francs Bearer Share) appear in large font, accompanied by various administrative elements characteristic of French shares from the early to mid-20th century.

The center of the page displays the full name of the company, the share amount, and an area reserved for the individual security number. Two printed signatures and a red "CFM" stamp are clearly visible, attesting to the document's authenticity at the time of its issue. The bottom of the document mentions February 1964, indicating the precise period of this share.

On the right side, a column of detachable coupons is perfectly preserved, each numbered and marked with the same red stamp. The coupons bear the inscription "Compagnie Française de l?Industrie de la Maille Action de 50 Francs", as well as a rank number and various administrative indications. The whole presents a retro appearance typical of French financial documents of the 20th century, with fine printing and slightly textured paper, visible in the photo.

This bearer security is distinguished by its meticulous presentation, graphic motifs, and print quality. No major defects are visible on this side: the paper appears clean, with no apparent stains or pronounced creases, and the colors remain fresh. The item is displayed open, allowing both the main document and the series of side coupons to be appreciated, a detail sought after by enthusiasts of historical and decorative documents.

The typography, the style of the ornaments, and the presence of the original coupons confirm the vintage authenticity of this share, typical of the 1960s, even if its aesthetics also evoke previous decades with its graphic classicism.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible side is very well preserved, with no tears or notable stains. The inscriptions, stamps, and signatures are clear and legible.

Did you know? Bearer shares were commonly used in France until the 1980s. They allowed their holder to remain anonymous and to receive dividends via detachable coupons. Companies like Coframaille, active in textiles, used this financing method to support their industrial development.
