Description

This document, visible in the photo, is an old bearer share issued by the company "Auxiliaire Chimique et Industrielle (Ex-Explosifs Favier)", with its registered office in Brussels. The presented side reveals an elegant typography typical of the early 20th century, with an ornate frame and finely detailed motifs around the text. The share bears the number 1226 and is signed at the bottom by two directors. Several official stamps are affixed to the upper left part, attesting to the authenticity and administrative use of this historical document.

The left page is occupied by the main certificate, titled "Bearer Share without Statement of Value", accompanied by the mention that the limited company has a capital of 2,500,000 francs. The handwritten signatures and visible stamps reinforce the authenticity and historical value of this financial document. The paper has a slightly yellowed tint due to time, characteristic of old documents, and a slight decorative embossing around the frame.

The right page is dedicated to the detachable coupons, called "stubs", corresponding to share N°1226. These coupons are printed regularly and aligned, with the repetition of the company name and share number, intended to be submitted to collect dividends. Their complete presence on the document is an asset for scripophily enthusiasts and economic history lovers.

The graphic style and layout are characteristic of the 1920s, with a sober aesthetic, serif fonts, and a symmetrical structure. No reverse side or internal details are visible in this shot; only the open double page is described here.

The visible colors are composed of sepia and cream shades, typical of old administrative papers. The texture of the paper appears slightly grainy, with a beautiful antique patina. The whole is well preserved, with no apparent tears or major stains on the visible surface.

Condition

This document is used and sold as is. The presented side shows an antique patina with some handling marks, but the whole remains legible and clean for a document of this age.

Did you know? Bearer shares were common in Europe until the mid-20th century. They allowed any holder to claim rights, without nominal mention. Since the 1980s, their issuance has been severely restricted for reasons of financial transparency.
