Description

This document, visible in the photo, is a bearer share certificate issued by the "Corporation Minière du Mexique", dated March 27, 1923, in Paris. It is an authentic financial security, typical of share issues from the early 20th century, used as proof of ownership and investment in the company. The presented face shows a complex ornamental frame, characteristic of official documents of this period, with gray and black printing, enhanced by visible red stamps and seals.

The document's header clearly displays the company name: "CORPORATION MINIÈRE DU MEXIQUE", followed by legal notices and the share value: "ACTION DE CENT FRANCS AU PORTEUR" (Bearer Share for One Hundred Francs). Several printed signatures and official stamps are present, including a circular red stamp "CORPORATION MINIÈRE DU MEXIQUE" and a blue "ANNULÉ" (CANCELED) stamp on the upper part.

The lower part of the document features a series of numbered detachable coupons, each bearing the inscription "Action N° ... CORPORATION MINIÈRE DU MEXIQUE", accompanied by a red stamp. These coupons were intended to be detached when dividend payments were made or during financial transactions related to the share.

The overall appearance is typical of financial documents from the 1920s, with elaborate typography and security graphic elements. The visible paper appears to be well-preserved, with slight folds but no apparent tears on this side. The main inscriptions are clear and perfectly legible.

This share certificate is a representative example of old financial documents, sought after for their historical and decorative interest. Its authenticity is attested by the presence of printed signatures and period stamps.

Did you know? Bearer shares, like this one, were common in the early 20th century. They allowed the anonymous holder to claim rights to the issuing company without registered ownership, which facilitated their circulation but also led to their gradual abolition in Europe from the late 20th century for reasons of financial transparency.
