Description

An old financial document, this is a bearer share issued by the Société des Mines de Zinc du Guergour. The visible side features rectangular paper, framed by a wide burgundy decorative frieze, typical of early 20th-century antique shares. The central print displays official information in capital letters, including "SOCIÉTÉ DES MINES DE ZINC DU GUERGOUR," as well as the nominal value "ACTION DE 2,500 FRANCS AU PORTEUR" (BEARER SHARE OF 2,500 FRANCS). Several period signatures and stamps are clearly visible on the upper part.

Below the main document, a series of detachable coupons is attached, each bearing the inscription "MINES DE ZINC DU GUERGOUR" and the share number. These coupons, printed in matching tones, attest to the historical use of this type of financial security for collecting dividends. The entire piece is printed on slightly yellowed paper, revealing a beautiful period patina.

The graphic style, typography, and structure of the official mentions correspond to the standards of the 1920s. The presence of ornamental motifs and the company logo in a medallion reinforce the decorative and heritage character of this document.

This certificate, with its intact coupons, offers a valuable visual testimony to the history of mining companies and French industrial finance. The printing details, paper quality, and finesse of the ornaments are characteristic of vintage stock documents sought after for their historical and decorative value.

The share number visible on the specimen is 005513. The original handwritten signatures and official stamp are present on the main side.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Slight signs of handling, even patina, visible edges and corners without major tears. The coupons appear complete and attached to the main document.

Did you know? Bearer shares, like those of Mines de Zinc du Guergour, allowed for anonymous transfer of ownership at the time, without nominative registration. The bearer of the document was considered the legal owner, which contributed to the popularity of this type of security until the stock market reforms of the 20th century.
