Description

This document is a bearer share issued by the company "Omnium de Constructions et de Matériaux", dated May 1, 1925. Printed on slightly yellowed paper, it features typical early 20th-century financial security decoration, with an ornamental blue border and stylized floral motifs. The main title, "ACTION DE CENT FRANCS AU PORTEUR" (BEARER SHARE OF ONE HUNDRED FRANCS), is prominently displayed in the center in a framed cartouche, against a pastel blue background. The company name is clearly visible at the top, along with legal mentions and handwritten signatures of administrators at the bottom left and right.

The lower part of the document includes a series of numbered detachable coupons, also printed in blue, each bearing the share number "000.461". The coupons, arranged in several rows, display the words "OMNIUM DE CONSTRUCTIONS ET DE MATÉRIAUX" and are marked with circular red stamps. The whole is well-preserved with sharp graphic details, typical of security printing of the era.

The paper shows a slight ripple visible on the upper part, with no apparent tears on the visible side. No major defects are observable, apart from slight signs of handling compatible with a period document. The printing, in blue and black ink, remains very legible across the entire front face.

This type of public limited company share was common for large French industrial companies in the 1920s. The graphic elements, typography, and structure of the document are characteristic of equity securities issued during this period.

The mention "entirely paid up" and the presence of numerous coupons attest to the initial function of this document in stock market transactions and dividend payments at the time.

Condition

Used item sold as is, with normal signs of age and handling visible in the photo (rippling, light paper wear). No missing parts or tears visible on the presented side.

Did you know? In the early 20th century, bearer shares were anonymous negotiable securities that could be exchanged simply by physical transfer of the document. This system gradually disappeared in France from the 1980s onwards in favor of the dematerialization of financial securities.
