Description

Here is an old financial document: a bearer share from Établissements Ryo-Catteau, issued in the 1920s. This certificate consists of a large sheet adorned with a dark green decorative frame, embellished with geometric patterns typical of the early 20th-century graphic style. The upper part of the document displays the main share information, including the name "ÉTABLISSEMENTS RYO-CATTEAU", the amount "ACTION DE TROIS MILLE FRANCS AU PORTEUR" (SHARE FOR THREE THOUSAND FRANCS TO BEARER), as well as the registered office, located in Roubaix (Nord), 23-25 rue Pellart.

The document features pale green and dark green printing on paper, enhanced with circular red stamps visible on the detachable coupons at the bottom of the sheet. The font used for the central text is understated and elegant, with uppercase inscriptions. A handwritten share number ("No 0391") is also distinguishable, along with the printed signature of the chairman of the board of directors.

The lower part includes a series of numbered coupons, each adorned with the distinct red stamp of the establishments. These coupons were historically used for dividend payments or interest tracking. The whole presents a structured and symmetrical organization, typical of bearer shares from this period.

The visual condition of the displayed front shows well-preserved paper, with crisp corners, still vibrant colors, and no apparent major stains or significant creases. No missing parts, tears, or additional handwritten annotations are visible on this side. The wooden photographic background highlights the document's contrast.

The main inscriptions are perfectly legible: "Société anonyme au capital de trente millions de francs" (Limited company with a capital of thirty million francs), "Statuts déposés chez M° Fontana, notaire à Paris" (Articles of association filed with M° Fontana, notary in Paris), "Constituée le 13 juin 1924 pour une durée de 99 ans" (Formed on June 13, 1924 for a period of 99 years), with many regulatory details typical of shares from that era.
