Description
An old financial document, this is a bearer share issued by the Société Anonyme des Verreries de la Mulatière. The document presented is an Ordinary Share of 100 francs, dated October 1, 1929, visible at the top of the document. The main print is on blue-gray paper, with a wide decorative border featuring floral and geometric motifs characteristic of the interwar period.
The company name appears in capital letters: VERRERIES DE LA MULATIÈRE. Several administrative details are clearly legible: "Company established on November 1, 1897," "Share capital: 6,000,000 francs," and the address of the registered office in La Mulatière (Rhône). The share number, here 039460, is mentioned several times, particularly in the upper part and on each of the detachable coupons at the bottom of the document.
The lower part of the document contains a series of numbered coupons, each bearing the mention "Ordinary Share N° 039460" and the company's designation. Several of these coupons are stamped with a circular red stamp marked "MULATIÈRE RHÔNE." The arrangement of the coupons and the typography are typical of French bearer shares from the first half of the 20th century.
The paper shows a slightly yellowed appearance at the edges, testifying to its age, with visible folds, especially in the upper corners. No major defects or apparent tears on the visible side; the document's structure remains generally very legible and decorative.
This type of financial security, often called an old share or bearer bond, was used as proof of ownership of a part of the company's capital, here in the glass manufacturing industrial sector of the Rhône region.
Condition
Used item, sold as is. Some handling marks and folds visible in the photo. The document remains in good presentable condition for its age.
