Description
This old document is a bearer dividend share issued by the French company "Explosifs Minélite". The share is presented on paper, with a characteristic ornamental red frame, typical of financial securities from the early 20th century. The center of the document displays the denomination "EXPLOSIFS MINÉLITE" in red capital letters, surrounded by inscriptions specifying the nature of the company ("Société Anonyme Française") and the share capital. The main text indicates "Action de Jouissance au Porteur" (Bearer Dividend Share) followed by the number 067469, also repeated on the bottom part of each detachable coupon.
The lower part of the document features a grid of numbered coupons, each stamped with a red seal and the unique number 067469. These coupons were used to collect dividends or benefits associated with the share. The entire document is printed on old-looking paper, slightly yellowed by time, and adorned with a decorative frame with stylized floral motifs. The document shows printed handwritten signatures, typical of shares from that era.
The layout, typography, and reddish-orange color confirm a production from the 1920s, in accordance with the keywords. No reverse side or details not visible in the photo are described, in compliance with strict observation rules.
The top of the document shows the main title and the company name, while the visible part fully displays the coupon grid, all of which are preserved, which is rare for this type of old security. The entire piece is placed on a wooden surface, highlighting the paper's texture and the sharpness of the prints.
Condition
This vintage document presents a visual appearance consistent with its age, with a slight patina and some visible creases. The prints and inscriptions are clearly legible on the exposed side. The item is offered as used, sold as is.
Did you know? Bearer shares like this one were common in France until the mid-20th century. They allowed their holder, without nominative identification, to benefit from the rights associated with the share simply by possessing the paper document. Explosives companies, such as Explosifs Minélite, played a key role in the industrialization and major construction projects of the early century.
