Description

This document is a bearer dividend share certificate issued by the French public limited company "Explosifs Minélite". It is an old financial security dated October 16, 1928, as indicated by the legible inscription on the upper part of the document. The certificate features a wide decorative border in a rose-red color, typical of shares printed in the 1920s, with an off-white background slightly yellowed by time.

The upper part of the document bears the title "EXPLOSIFS MINÉLITE" in capital letters, followed by "Société Anonyme Française" (French Public Limited Company). The share capital is indicated, as is the registered office in Paris. The title "Action de Jouissance au Porteur" (Bearer Dividend Share) and the individual number (032469) are clearly visible in the center. Two signatures of directors are printed at the bottom right and left of the central part.

In the lower part, there is a grid of detachable coupons, numbered 1 to 49, each bearing the title "Explosifs Minélite", the share number (032469), and a red stamp. These coupons, used for the payment of dividends or other rights, are all present and undeterred, which is an asset for this type of historical document.

The entire document features clear printing, with ornamental motifs and a stylized floral frame characteristic of financial documents from the 1920s. No major defects are visible on the displayed side: the paper is flat, the printing remains well contrasted, and the coupons are intact. Some traces of handling or slight fold marks may be observed, without altering the readability or integrity of the item.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The document shows good overall preservation for its age, with perfectly legible printing and inscriptions. Slight traces of handling or storage visible, with no tears or apparent missing parts on the displayed side.

Did you know? Bearer shares, like this one, were commonly used in France until the mid-20th century. They allowed their holder to exercise financial rights and receive dividends without having to declare their identity to the issuing company, which facilitated their transfer but also led to their gradual disappearance for reasons of financial transparency.
