Description

An authentic antique financial title, this is a bearer share issued by the company "L'Azote Français". The document presented here is a "ONE TENTH OF A BENEFICIARY BEARER SHARE", with the clearly legible number 008350. The visible side shows an elaborate red and white print, typical of early 20th-century securities, with an ornate border and a central cartouche.

The upper part of the share features the name "L'AZOTE FRANÇAIS" in red capital letters, framed by a complex decorative motif. Several handwritten signatures are printed at the bottom of the cartouche, as well as visible stamps and seals, attesting to its authenticity and administrative use at the time.

The bottom of the document presents a series of detachable, numbered, and stamped coupons, allowing for the collection of dividends at different due dates. These coupons are all printed with the same red graphic charter and bear the same issue number as the main title, confirming the integrity of the whole.

The medium is paper with a slightly yellowed appearance, characteristic of old documents, and the print features fine background lines to limit counterfeiting. No back or reverse side is visible in the photo. The whole is placed on a wooden base, allowing the generous size of the document to be appreciated (without estimation, in accordance with instructions).

This type of old share, with its attached coupons, is sought after for vintage decoration, wall framing, or as a curiosity piece related to French economic and industrial history.

Condition

Used item and sold as is. The share shows some traces of undulation and slight yellowing of the paper, with no apparent tears or missing coupons on the visible side. Presence of period stamps and signatures. Please carefully consult the photo to judge the exact visual condition.

Did you know? Bearer shares like this were common in France until the end of the 20th century, allowing their holder to anonymously collect dividends. The company L'Azote Français was active in the chemical industry, a key sector for the supply of nitrogen fertilizers in the 1920s.
