Visual Description
This period document is an old financial security, specifically a registered share certificate issued by the Société Anonyme Soie Artificielle de Myszków. The visible side features a two-tone red and black print, with a wide decorative border in a classical style, typical of the 1920s. The center of the document displays the title "Soie Artificielle de Myszków", the mention "Part Sociale N°39935" (Share Certificate N°39935), as well as the share capital indicated at 4,200,000 francs. The registered office is mentioned in Renaix, and the document bears two printed handwritten signatures, accompanied by a partially legible blue ink stamp.
To the right, a column of detachable coupons is integrated into the main document. Each coupon bears the mention "Société Anonyme de Soie Artificielle de Myszków", the share certificate number, as well as the year of the relevant financial year (visible example: "Exercice 1944" - Fiscal Year 1944). The whole is printed on paper with a slightly yellowed appearance, typical of old securities, with refined graphic elements and period typography.
The structure of the certificate consists of a large central rectangle framed by geometric patterns, with a discreet background watermark. The main inscriptions are clearly legible. The dominant color is a brick red, enhanced by the contrast of the black text. The coupons on the right are regularly aligned, numbered, and dated, reinforcing the authenticity and historical interest of this stock market document.
The upper part mentions "Société Anonyme" (Public Limited Company) and repeats the full name of the company. The internal text specifies the rights attached to the share certificate, without designating a value. The mention "Renaix" is clearly visible in the stamp and in the text. The overall condition of the document shows some creases and slight signs of handling, with no major apparent tears on the visible side.
The entire document, with its ornamental frieze and coupons, perfectly illustrates the graphic and administrative style of financial securities from the early 20th century, a period of industrial company growth in Europe.
Condition
Used item, sold as is. Visible creases and handling marks, slightly dog-eared corners, overall good condition for its age.
Did you know? Bearer shares and share certificates like those of Soie Artificielle de Myszków were commonly issued by European companies between the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. Each detachable coupon corresponded to a dividend payment or an annual cut, allowing the shareholder to receive their rights without a nominative mention in the register.
