An antique crank sharpener, typical of the early 20th century, for sharpening tools or pencils, as seen in the photo. This item has a robust cylindrical structure with an oval base, and a large vertical crank ending in an ergonomic, molded handle. The entire unit is mounted on a stable base, probably designed to be attached to a workbench or table thanks to the drilled rear lug.

The exterior surface shows an antique patina, indicative of its age, with traces of rust and coating wear, especially on the top and sides. Two metallic-looking side panels show signs of oxidation and discoloration, characteristic of utilitarian objects of the period. The front features a partially legible circular embossed inscription, mentioning "SCHÄRMASCHINE SHARPENER" and other words in German, English, and French, typical of early 20th-century European industrial manufacturing.

The sharpening mechanism is operated by the crank, whose robust central axle and ovoid handle are clearly visible. The solid design, wall thickness, and presence of visible rivets or welds conform to the manufacturing standards of old professional tools.
