Description
This document is an original copy of the illustrated magazine "Lisette," dated Sunday, October 30, 1932, issue number 44 of the twelfth year (590th delivery). It is a weekly periodical intended for young girls, easily recognizable by its colorful cover and its graphic design typical of the interwar period. The cover page features an illustrated Art Deco style scene, depicting three young girls in period dresses, in a garden, in front of a flower wall, illustrating the story "Sur le mur" (see story on page 16).
The title "Lisette" appears in white cursive letters on an oval blue cartouche, adorned with red rose motifs at the ends, a visual signature of the magazine. The mentions "16 Pages", "Price: 25 centimes", as well as the precise date, are clearly visible at the top of the first page. The layout, the aesthetic of the illustration, and the lettering are typical of the early 1930s, with a palette of soft colors (green, red, yellow, brown) and printing on newsprint slightly yellowed by time.
The upper right corner shows signs of wear and small tears, common for this type of old print. The edges are uneven, and the paper shows a period patina. No details are visible concerning the back or the interior; only the cover is observable in the photo.
The mention "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Magazine) confirms its youth target. The publisher's details are indicated: "Offices: 1, rue Gazan, Paris (XIVe)", with the periodicity specified ("Published: every week").
This vintage magazine is a testament to the interwar feminine youth press, combining illustrated stories, children's fashion, and Art Deco decorative graphics.
