This old issue of the "Lisette" newspaper, dated Sunday, December 11, 1932, is an original copy of French youth press, intended for young girls. The cover features a polychrome illustration typical of the interwar period, depicting several characters in a bustling street, with an urban background. The header displays the title "Lisette" in handwritten letters on a blue background, surrounded by red and green floral graphic elements.
The issue bears the number 50, corresponding to the twelfth year of publication (596th delivery), and comprises 16 pages, as indicated in the top left. The original price, "25 centimes," is clearly visible in a yellow box at the top right. The mention "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper) as well as the office address (1, rue Gazan, Paris XIVe) also appear on the front page.
The cover illustration, titled "Monique's Umbrella," shows a lively street scene with several characters in 1930s attire, including a young girl holding a closed umbrella. The graphic style and retro color palette are characteristic of illustrated youth press from the 1930s.
The paper shows an ivory to yellowed coloration, typical of old newspapers, with some visible signs of wear along the edges, including creases and stains on the bottom right. The corners are slightly dog-eared, and a natural patina due to age is observable over the entire surface. No other major defects are visible on the front face.
All visual and typographical elements attest to the authenticity and vintage character of this illustrated newspaper, particularly sought after for its period illustrations and its documentary interest in youth press from the early 20th century.
