Description
This old issue of "Lisette" magazine, intended for young girls, is dated Sunday, March 12, 1933. The visible cover features a polychrome illustration typical of 1930s youth imagery, with four characters dressed in period attire, gathered near an automobile, under a tree. The full-page scene is titled "Les cailloux blancs" (The White Pebbles) and announces a story to be found inside (pages 8 and 9 according to the printed mention).
The top banner shows "Lisette" in white cursive letters on a blue-green background, framed by stylized rose motifs. Also visible are the publication details: "N° 11 – Thirteenth year (609th issue)", sale price "25 centimes", mention "16 pages" and the office address in Paris. The magazine is presented in a stapled format, typical of interwar children's press.
The paper shows a beige patina and visible signs of age, including uniform yellowing and slight marks in the lower right corner. The printing remains clear, both for the text and the cover colors. No elements of the interior content are visible in this image, other than the announcement of the weekly publication and the mention "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Magazine).
The binding appears original, with a vertical fold marking the copy, which is common for this type of old publication. The spine and back are not visible in the photo. The format appears rectangular, suitable for easy handling by young readers of the time.
The cover is a fine example of the graphic style of early 20th-century French youth press, with stylized characters and a sober yet contrasting color palette, true to the interwar aesthetic.
