Description

This old issue of the illustrated newspaper "Lisette" is dated Sunday, August 19, 1934, as indicated at the top right of the cover. It is issue 33 of the fourteenth year (684th delivery), perfectly legible on the front page. This periodical for young women is titled "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper) and is published weekly, according to the mention printed at the top of the cover.

The cover features a colorful illustration, typical of 1930s youth imagery. The drawn scene depicts a woman dressed in black passing through a wooden gate, watched by a couple in the background, in front of a house with rural architecture. At the bottom of the page, the title of the main story "L’ENFANT DU NAUFRAGE (Suite.)"
