Description

This old issue of the illustrated newspaper "Lisette" is dated Sunday, April 29, 1934, as indicated at the top right of the cover. It is a weekly publication aimed at young girls, titled "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper). The front page features a color illustration depicting several female characters in orange coats and a man in a dressing gown, in an outdoor setting with vintage vehicles in the background. The title of the story visible at the bottom of the page is "Poucette et ses sœurs (Suite)" (Poucette and her sisters (Continued)).

The "Lisette" logo appears in white cursive letters on a blue background, framed by stylized rose motifs and a yellow cartouche mentioning "16 Pages". The original price, "25 Centimes", is also visible. The magazine issue number is 17, fourteenth year (589th delivery), which testifies to the longevity of the publication at that time.

The cover displays a typical 1930s print, with slightly faded colors and paper yellowed by time. The graphic details, the characters' clothing style, and the typography of the header are characteristic of French youth press from the interwar period.

The visible document shows signs of wear: rounded corners, small brown spots, and handling marks, consistent with a vintage copy that has been handled and stored without particular protection. No major missing parts are observable on the front; the illustration remains legible and attractive.

This vintage youth magazine, illustrated and published in France, is a representative piece of popular culture and children's publishing from the early 20th century. It appeals to an audience that appreciates archival documents, old press, and illustrated humorous or romantic magazines for children.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Shows signs of wear and aging visible on the cover (yellowing, stains, blunt corners). The overall condition remains fair for a 1934 copy.
