Description

This old issue of the "Lisette" newspaper is an illustrated publication intended for a young female audience, typical of French youth press in the 1930s. The cover, visible in the photo, features a colorful illustration depicting a group of young girls in period attire with an adult, in an interior scene evoking daily or school life. The drawing, typical of the interwar youth aesthetic, is accompanied by the story title "LE PULL ROSE" at the bottom of the page.

The front page of the newspaper clearly displays the "Lisette" brand in a blue cartouche adorned with a rose, with the mention "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper). Issue 38, dated Sunday, September 23, 1934 (fourteenth year, 669th delivery), is clearly legible at the top left. The publication contains 16 pages, as indicated in a yellow insert. The original price, "25 centimes," is also visible on the cover.

The print shows slightly faded original colors, typical of old papers, with a beige background and vivid hues (blue, yellow, orange, green) on the illustration. There is a general patina and some signs of age, particularly small brown spots on the edges and very slight rubbing on the lower left corner.

The layout adheres to the graphic codes of youth periodicals of the era, with a black frame, handwritten and printed fonts, and a narrative composition where the drawing occupies a large part of the cover. No handwritten inscriptions or later additions are visible on the displayed side.

The newspaper is presented flat, with the top edge and left side clearly visible; the cover appears generally flat, with no major creases or apparent tears on this side. The editorial details (address of the office in Paris XIVe, mention "Parait chaque semaine" - Published weekly) are legible and attest to the authenticity of the publication.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Cover with signs of age, patina, and visible small foxing spots. The whole remains stable, with no apparent structural defects on the visible side.
