Description

An old issue of the illustrated newspaper "Lisette", visible here in its edition of Sunday, December 9, 1934 (no. 49, fourteenth year, 700th delivery). This weekly magazine, intended for young girls, stands out with its colorful cover typical of the 1930s, featuring the title "Lisette" in blue within an oval medallion adorned with red roses. The cover announces "16 pages", a common format for youth press at the time.

The front cover features a color illustration, typical of the Art Deco style of the interwar period. It depicts two female figures in a living room: a young girl standing, dressed in an orange coat and matching beret, and an older woman sitting near a round table, in a refined interior decor (green curtains, fireplace, clock, flower vases). This scene introduces the story "L'enveloppe de cuir fauve" (The Fawn Leather Envelope), the beginning of which is mentioned at the bottom of the page.

The inscriptions are clearly legible: "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper), "Parait chaque semaine" (Published weekly), as well as the period price "25 centimes" on a yellow background. The publishing information (address in Paris) and the precise date reinforce the authenticity of this old periodical.

The general appearance shows paper yellowed by time, typical of old newspapers, with a slight patina and some visible signs of wear on the edges (small creases, slightly rounded corners). No major missing parts or tears appear on the visible side. The print remains clear, both for the text and the illustration.

Condition

This newspaper is a used copy, sold as is. The whole presents an period patina and traces of use wear, mainly at the corners and the right edge. No annotations or tears are visible on the cover.
