Description

Vintage administrative document, visible in the photo as a handwritten and typewritten plan, open on a wooden stand. This document, produced on light-colored paper, presents a technical map accompanied by a diagram and numerical tables. At the top of the right page is the handwritten title "Société Nautique de Marseille," followed by "Quai de Rive-Neuve," indicating that it is a file related to Marseille's port infrastructure, probably from around the 1930s-40s as suggested by the graphic style and period typography.

The plan on the left represents a schematic view of the quay, with orientation indicated by a stylized black compass rose, and several technical markers. Handwritten annotations specify locations and surfaces, while a red line draws attention to a specific area of the quay. The right page details surfaces and measurements, specifying "Maritime open-air surface (above sea level)," as well as budget items for "1st Cut" and "2nd Cut," typical of public hydraulic works or port development files.

The presentation of the document, with its clear lines, its use of black and red for important elements, reflects the cartography and technical survey methods used in administration and civil engineering of the early 20th century. The paper shows a slight patina, with no tears or major stains visible on the exposed side.

The numerical information (surfaces, measurements, costs) and technical vocabulary ("maritime surface," "cut," "quay") confirm that this is an original document related to port development or public works projects, specifically for the Société Nautique de Marseille. The whole is legible and well-preserved, offering a valuable source for the urban and port history of the city.

The main inscriptions are clear and include: "Société Nautique de Marseille," "Quai de Rive-Neuve," various surface calculations (e.g., 1,750 m², 1,250 m²), and expenditure items related to quay cuts. The plan on the left also includes an orientation (N-E-S-W) and markers corresponding to the organization of the port at that time.

Condition

Second-hand item, sold as is. Old archival document, with slight patina and signs of use compatible with its age. No major defects visible on the presented side.
