Description
Film camera from the brand Kodak, model Instamatic 133, presented here in a two-tone black and silver visual finish. The object, seen from the front, displays a rectangular design characteristic of compact cameras of the 1960s, with a simple and functional facade. The upper part is light-colored, adorned with the inscription "INSTAMATIC 133 CAMERA" on a silver background, accompanied by the Kodak logo and the mention "Made in Germany" visible on the left. The casing shows a large black lower area with a grained texture, accentuating the retro look of the whole.
The center of the casing is dominated by the circular lens, encircled by a shiny ring that contrasts sharply with the matte texture of the rest of the facade. To the right of the lens, three solar pictograms are silk-screened, probably indicating brightness adjustment or type of shot. The upper right corner reveals the housing for the cubic flash, typical of Instamatic cameras of this generation.
The clean lines and symmetry of the camera evoke a minimalist aesthetic typical of 1960s industrial design, emphasized by the choice of metallic-looking and plastic materials. No mechanical details (dial, lever, button) are visible on this side, giving an impression of great simplicity of use, faithful to the Instamatic philosophy.
The facade shows no superfluous decoration or pattern. The inscriptions are clear and legible, and the camera displays a discreet patina, testifying to previous use without excessive apparent wear. No shocks, cracks, or deformations are visible on this side; the chrome and black surface retain their shine, with some micro-traces of use compatible with its age.
Condition
Used camera, sold as is. Superficial wear visible on the facade, with no apparent structural defects in the photographed area. Functionality not tested — sold as a decorative or collectible item.
Did you know? The Kodak Instamatic range revolutionized amateur photography upon its launch in 1963 thanks to the introduction of 126 film cartridges, which greatly simplified film loading. The 133 model, produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s, is one of the European models manufactured in Germany and is distinguished by its robustness and sleek design.
