This period administrative document is an official prefectural order, issued by the Prefecture of Bouches-du-Rhône (1st division, Public Domain of the State) concerning the city of Marseille. The visible side presents a typical 1930s layout, with a printed "ARRÊTÉ" header and detailed mentions in the upper part, including "Année 1938" (Year 1938) and "Arrêté d’Occupation" (Occupation Order). The document is signed and includes several handwritten annotations, including a visible date "21-25 mai 1938" (May 21-25, 1938) and the handwritten mention "Expédition remise le 27 sept. 1938" (Expedition delivered on Sep. 27, 1938) at the bottom of the page.

The main text, typewritten, concerns the renewal of an authorization for Établissements S.
