Description

This comic book features "L'œuf et les Schtroumpfs" (The Egg and the Smurfs) on its cover, illustrated with two iconic Smurfs. One holds a golden spoon in front of a central egg, while another Smurf approaches, accompanied by a small leaping animal. The cover is bright red, framed by a visible yellow spine on the left side. At the top, the words "3 Histoires de Schtroumpfs par Peyo" (3 Smurf Stories by Peyo) are visible, followed by the Smurfs logo.

At the bottom, the book also announces two other stories: "Le Faux Schtroumpf" (The Fake Smurf) and "Le Centième Schtroumpf" (The Hundredth Smurf). The Dupuis publisher's logo appears at the bottom of the cover, confirming the original edition. The white, very readable typography contrasts with the red background, and the illustrations, in Peyo's characteristic style, are perfectly recognizable.

The yellow spine and rectangular format indicate a classic Franco-Belgian comic album. The colors are bold, and the glossiness of the cover suggests a glossy lamination. No other material details (condition of the spine, pages, back cover) are visible in this image.

The edition shows the year 1978 in the keywords, which corresponds to the publication period of these iconic Smurf adventures. The album is part of the 4th series of Smurf stories, as indicated at the top of the cover.

The cover does not show any major visible defects, apart from some slight handling marks on the spine.

Condition

Used item sold as is, with slight signs of wear visible on the spine. The front cover is glossy, with no visible scratches or stains on the visible side.

Did you know? The Smurfs were created by Peyo (Pierre Culliford) in 1958. The album "L’œuf et les Schtroumpfs" compiles several short stories, first published in Spirou magazine before being collected in an album by Dupuis. The story of the magic egg is particularly famous for introducing the concept of the wish-granting egg, a recurring theme in Franco-Belgian comics.
