Description

This comic book shown in the photo is a Lucky Luke album titled "Nitroglycerine," published by Dargaud. The cover features a rose-beige background with a wide yellow band where the title "NITROGLYCERINE" appears in red capital letters. In the upper left corner is the characteristic face of Lucky Luke, recognizable by his hat, scarf, and profile drawn by Morris.

The illustration shows the four Daltons, dressed in their traditional green and yellow outfits, operating a red handcar on railway tracks, against a desert landscape. Several black vultures are also depicted flying above the scene, accentuating the humorous and typical aspect of the Lucky Luke universe. The Dargaud logo is visible in the lower right corner of the cover.

The back and spine of the album show signs of wear, with noticeable creases and a slight dent visible in the lower left corner of the cover. Scuff marks and some dirt are also visible on the cardboard surface. The spine shows the title "Nitroglycerine" along with the publisher's name.

The graphic style, with its bright colors and sharp outlines, is faithful to the work of Morris, associated with the Lucky Luke series. The overall presentation of the album, as well as the Dargaud mention, corresponds to an edition from the 1980s, consistent with the 1987 date indicated in the additional keywords.

Condition

Used book sold as is, with visible signs of wear on the cover: creases, scuffed corners, marks, and localized dirt. The overall structure remains solid, and the main illustration is clearly legible. No details on the interior or back are visible in the photo.

Did you know? Lucky Luke, created by Morris in 1946, had his scripts written by René Goscinny starting in 1955. The album "Nitroglycerine" was first published in 1969. The Daltons, iconic characters, are inspired by real outlaws of the Wild West, although their adventures are largely humorous and fictitious.
