Description

This note, visible in the photo, is an old German 2 Mark "Darlehnskassenschein". It has a rectangular shape with cut corners, characteristic of certain notes issued in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. The main print, in red and black ink, shows a large face value of "2 Mark" against a background of floral and calligraphic motifs. The inscription "Darlehnskassenschein" dominates the center, followed by the value "Zwei Mark" in Gothic letters. A serial number "41.987725" is clearly legible in the upper right part.

The note shows a pronounced patina, typical of prolonged use: numerous marked folds cross the paper, accompanied by tears on the edges and general wear. The colors, although faded by time, still hint at the bright red of the number "2" in each corner. An official seal is visible on the bottom left, as well as a black stamp with an imperial eagle motif on the center-right, indicating its authenticity and period of issue.

The Gothic German script, the presence of the imperial stamp, and the graphic style place this note in the era of the German Empire, probably around World War I. The note is presented on a white background, allowing for a clear view of the paper's texture, marked by countless cracks and traces of use.

An printed signature and part of the text are also visible at the bottom of the note, although some parts have become difficult to read due to wear. No explicit date is clearly visible on this side, but all visual elements point to an issue from the early 20th century.

Only one side of the note is shown in the photo. No details of the back or other sides are visible, as per the view provided.
