Description

An old Pathé-Baby film reel, visible in the photo, designed for amateur film projection in Pathé-Baby format. The object has a recognizable circular shape, with a hexagonal central opening and a slot for the film. The upper side of the reel bears the embossed inscription "PATHÉ BABY", typical of the historic Pathé brand. The reel is black, with signs of wear, indicating its age and previous use.

The edge reveals part of the film wound inside, whose dark color and texture are reminiscent of vintage silver halide films. No other pattern or inscription is visible on the presented side, with the exception of the clearly legible Pathé brand.

The presentation on a light background highlights the patinated appearance of the surface, with some oxidation marks and superficial scratches, characteristic of objects handled over time. The appearance of the casing, probably made of old plastic or bakelite (material not certified), reinforces the vintage authenticity of this cinema accessory.

The reel's structure is compact, suitable for Pathé-Baby projectors, which were very popular in the 1920s-1930s. The visible part only shows one side of the reel, with no indication of the precise content or condition of the film inside.

This type of object is sought after for its historical value in the history of amateur cinema, and constitutes a material testament to the beginnings of home projection.

Used item, sold as is. Visible wear and patina on the surface, scratches and signs of age. The film appears to be present inside, but its internal state of preservation is not guaranteed (see photo).
