Description

Old film reel for a Pathé-Baby projector, visible in the photo in a white-backed case. This reel has a flat circular shape with a characteristic side cut-out of the Pathé-Baby system. The upper side, clearly visible, bears the embossed inscription "PATHÉ BABY" as well as additional mentions, typical of reels manufactured in the 1920s-1930s for amateur cinema. The surface shows a dark, matte patina, with traces of oxidation or wear related to its age.

On the edge of the reel, an original label is partially legible: "Félix le Chat" can be distinguished, followed by "vit un conte fantastique" (lives a fantastic tale). This indicates the content of the film: a silent episode featuring the famous animated character Felix the Cat, a star of animated cinema from the 1920s. The sepia-toned label shows signs of age, with some stains and small missing parts on the paper.

The item is presented without any additional casing, only the reel itself, with the film tightly wound inside. No details of the film are visible, only the end of the film appears slightly under the reel's cut-out. This format was intended for use with Pathé-Baby projectors, a flagship system for amateur cinema in the interwar period.

The overall condition of the object is consistent with its age: marked patina on the surface, original label with traces of wear, but main inscriptions still identifiable. No movable mechanism or accessory is visible on this side.
