Description

Vintage reel for a Pathé-Baby projector, shown here in a light-colored case. This reel features a disc-shaped structure with a central metal core, typical of amateur film media from the early 20th century. The upper surface has a molded relief bearing the inscription "Pathé Baby", confirming the authenticity of the brand and its dedicated use for home cinema.

On the side of the reel, a period label is clearly visible, indicating the film title: "La danse, au ralenti" (The dance, in slow motion). This type of handwritten or typewritten label is characteristic of Pathé-Baby reels, allowing the film's subject to be identified without opening the reel. The edge of the reel shows a dark finish, with a slightly patinated appearance, likely made of composite material or similar to Pathé-Baby productions from that period.

The visible face shows a specific cut-out typical of 9.5 mm Pathé-Baby film reels, allowing a part of the media inside to be seen. The center is equipped with a square axis, designed to fit Pathé-Baby projectors. No other accessories are visible in the image, and only the front of the reel is shown.

The reel is presented in a light-colored case or storage box, which is not original Pathé-Baby but showcases the item for photography. No major defects are visible on the exposed face, although some slight wear compatible with the age and use of a vintage film reel can be observed.

Used item, sold as is. Traces of use, patina, and superficial marks visible on the surface. The identification label "La danse, au ralenti" is in place and legible.
