Vintage Nescafé Nestlé Metal Tin – retro coffee decor, old can
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
Old Nescafé advertising metal tin, visible in the photo. It is a cylindrical container with a retro look, typical of instant coffee packaging marketed by Nestlé in the mid-20th century. The visible side features a dark brown decoration with golden inscriptions, including the name "NESCAFÉ" in large letters and "NESTLÉ" in golden capitals, as well as the mention "extrait de café" (coffee extract) in an arc below the main name. The graphic style and typography clearly evoke a vintage aesthetic, with a predominance of sober colors and a slightly time-worn print.
The lid, also made of metal, shows traces of oxidation, visible wear, and rust marks on the periphery, signs of prolonged storage or exposure to humidity. The lid's surface is matte, marked by irregular stains and a slight deformation on the upper rim. On the front of the tin, the graphics remain legible despite some areas of wear, particularly around the base and on the top of the cylinder.
Visually, the tin has a compact format, with no indication of capacity or precise dimensions. Three coffee beans are placed in front of the object, reinforcing the coffee's graphic universe but not included in the sale (for illustrative purposes only in the photo). No other accessories, inscriptions, or decorative elements are visible on the presented side.
The rim of the lid shows a slightly lighter shade due to wear and corrosion of the metal. The general patina confirms the object's authenticity and age. This tin, with its design and signs of use, fits perfectly into the retro and industrial decor trend, ideal for enhancing a shelf, kitchen, or coffee corner.
The "Nescafé" and "Nestlé" brands are well highlighted, which accentuates the advertising and decorative nature of this piece. No other text or logo is visible on the photographed side.
