Description

An antique rectangular table lighter, presented here with a solid parallelepiped-shaped base with a translucent appearance, probably made of resin or hard stone. The removable lighter, visible in the photo, is silver in color with a shiny metallic finish. Its shape is elongated, slightly oval, with a grooved top and a visible wheel mechanism at one end. The surface shows a homogeneous patina, typical of objects several decades old.

The base has a perfectly fitted cut-out to accommodate the lighter, with an old visible label featuring English inscriptions: "TRADE MARK REG." and other partially legible elements. The lighter also bears an engraved inscription, "SILVER MATCH", probably indicating the brand, well-known for its 20th-century smoking accessories.

The main color of the base is light beige, slightly translucent, contrasting with the silver metal of the lighter. The set is placed on a rustic wooden surface, which highlights the decorative and retro character of the object. No additional decor is visible on the presented sides, which emphasizes the clean and utilitarian style of the ensemble.

The visible ignition mechanism, consisting of a notched wheel and a grooved area for the flint, is typical of 1950s-1970s gasoline table lighters. The overall condition shows some signs of wear on the metal surface and the base, indicating old use but no visible structural damage to the exposed parts.
