Description

This vintage advertising lighter features a rectangular silhouette with rounded corners, typical of iconic mid-20th century models. Its surface shows a matte metallic appearance, enhanced by a patina of use that testifies to its age and authenticity. On the visible front side, the inscription "GOLDEN AMERICAN" is clearly distinguishable in black and red lettering, accompanied by blue, red and orange geometric patterns, as well as the number "25" at the bottom of the inscription. The colors show signs of wear and a few scratches, reinforcing the retro charm of the object.

The lighter is photographed in a vertical position, placed in a carved wooden box, on a lace tablecloth, which highlights its silver hue and its advertising look. No mechanism is visible on this side, but the side hinge, typical of cap lighters, is visible on the left side of the upper part. The entire visible surface shows micro-scratches, marks and small impacts, characteristic of an old object that has been used.

The inscription "GOLDEN AMERICAN" as well as the colored patterns suggest an origin related to advertising for a tobacco or cigarette brand, very common in the 60s to 80s. The graphic style, the wear of the paints and the matte finish are in accordance with this period, without being able to specify it with absolute certainty.

The matte metallic finish, without a shiny effect, and the absence of superfluous decorative details, give this lighter a sober and utilitarian style, typical of vintage pocket accessories.
