Description

Antique brooch featuring a brightly enameled coat of arms, dedicated to the Saarland region. The piece is shield-shaped, framed by a silver border with decorative reliefs evoking a retro style, and topped with a stylized crown. The center of the coat of arms features several distinct quarters: a white lion on a blue background, a red cross on a white background, a red and white band on a yellow background, and a golden lion on a black background. The inscription "SAARLAND" is clearly legible on the upper part of the coat of arms.

The visible surface shows multicolored enamel work, primarily blue, red, white, black, and yellow, with crisp patterns and well-preserved colors. The silver finish of the frame has a bright appearance and reflects light, highlighting the contrast with the enamel. The whole is assembled in a style reminiscent of mid-20th century heraldic-inspired souvenir brooches.
