Description

Fancy horseshoe-shaped brooch, adorned with round rhinestones with multicolored reflections on the front. The main motif is organized around a central white to translucent cameo, depicting a stylized profile, integrated into the lower part of the brooch. The whole is mounted on a gold-toned metallic structure, visible on the rim of the horseshoe.

The visible rhinestones show iridescent reflections, mainly in green, blue, and pink tones depending on the angle of the light, adding a luminous touch to the whole. Four main rhinestones are placed on the lower part of the horseshoe, complemented by two others on the side, and two upper settings, one of which appears to be missing its rhinestone. The central cameo is encircled and secured by three visible gold claws on the surface.

The brooch is presented in a white-lined case, which highlights the brilliance of the decorative elements and the contrast with the gold-toned structure. The cameo motif, though stylized, evokes the tradition of classic style jewelry.

The metallic surface shows some traces of wear and slight oxidation marks, mainly on the contours of the horseshoe and around the claws holding the cameo. The rhinestones are well in place, with the exception of an upper setting where the cabochon is missing.

This costume jewel combines the lucky horseshoe iconography with the retro elegance of the cameo and the sparkle of rhinestones, typical of the exuberant creations of 20th-century costume jewelry.
