Description

Soviet badge-type brooch, depicting the coat of arms of the city of Uglich, visible on the front. The piece takes the form of a shield, characteristic of heraldic blazons. The central escutcheon, on a red background, features a stylized figure dressed in a light blue tunic, holding an object resembling a scepter or a sword. The perimeter of the brooch has a gold-colored finish, with a slightly textured and shiny surface on the edges.

The Cyrillic inscriptions are clearly legible on the front: "УГЛИЧ" (Uglich) at the top and "ЗОЛОТОЕ КОЛЬЦО" (Golden Ring) at the bottom, typical of Soviet signage from the 1970s-1980s. The letters are in relief and well-defined, accentuating the official character of the object.

The brooch features a color combination typical of Soviet badges: ivory or cream background, vivid red, light blue and gold details. The overall design highlights a simple but striking graphic style, true to the visual codes of the Soviet era.

The object is dedicated to the city of Uglich, located on the Golden Ring, a historic tourist circuit in Russia. This type of badge was often produced to commemorate cities or events, or as a tourist souvenir. The overall condition shows good preservation of the front, with no major defects visible in the photo.

The silhouette of the character and the style of the inscriptions evoke a typical production of the Soviet period, with clean lines and effective use of color. No additional markings are visible on the front.
