Description

An antique retro-style brooch, typical of the 1960s, shown here on a white fabric display stand. This costume jewel has a radiating shape evoking a star or a sun, very characteristic of mid-century aesthetics. The visible side reveals a brilliant-looking gilded structure, adorned with multiple faceted rhinestones.

The center of the brooch is occupied by a large, deeply red, round faceted stone, securely set. Around this central heart radiate thin branches, each terminating in small round rhinestones. The rhinestones alternate between two shades: a dark red reminiscent of garnet, and a light amber tone, providing a bright and refined contrast.

The gilded finish of the setting accentuates the sparkle of the stones, while the regular arrangement of the branches gives the whole a harmonious star-like effect. No logo, signature or brand appears on the visible side of the brooch. The assembly is carefully crafted, with clearly visible setting claws around each rhinestone.

The jewel is presented on a cushion in a carved wooden case, which highlights the brilliance of the gilding and the vividness of the colors. No major defects are apparent on the visible part, apart from some minor signs of wear compatible with age, notably a slight patina on some gilded elements.
