Description

Old badge-type brooch, probably intended for blood donors or for use by first aid associations. The item is in the form of a stylized red cross, with arms enamelled in a deep red with translucent reflections, framed by gilded motifs. In its center is a gilded plate bearing the inscription "sang" (blood) in clearly legible red handwritten letters. The brooch is equipped with a safety pin type fastening system, visible on the back.

The gilded ornamental motifs on the ends of the cross enhance the decorative and symbolic aspect of the piece, typical of solidarity badges or humanitarian association badges from the mid to late 20th century. The whole displays a brilliant finish, with slight nuances due to the enamelling technique used on the gilded metal.

The contrast between the intense red of the enamel and the gilding gives the object excellent visibility. The lettering "sang" is applied to a similarly gilded plate, centered on the cross, making it immediately identifiable as a badge related to blood donation or medical aid. The back of the brooch, although partially visible, reveals a robust attachment, suitable for wearing on clothing or a blouse.

The general condition of the brooch appears good based on the photo, with no major chips on the enamel or apparent oxidation of the gilding. However, some micro-scratches or signs of use may be present, typical of a worn and used object.

This brooch is presented on a white cushion in a baroque-decorated box, not included in the sale, which highlights the graphic quality and finish of the badge.

Used item, sold as is. Shows very slight traces of use consistent with its age and function. The enamel and gilding appear well preserved.
