Description

Decorative bust representing a Native American chief, made of resin and adorned with authentic feathers according to the keywords. The sculpture highlights a male face marked by age, with great realism in the wrinkles, and details of the nose, lips, and cheekbones. The chief wears an elaborate headdress composed of red, white, and brown feathers, fixed on a headband richly decorated with colorful beads and embossed circular patterns.

Around the neck, several rows of multicolored pearl necklaces are visible, alternating between green, red, and beige beads. Beige cords adorn the sides of the face, embellished with wooden beads and decorative elements. The chief's attire features a texture evoking skin or fur, with painted ornaments and geometric patterns on the visible part of the garment.

The headdress particularly catches the eye thanks to the intensity of the red main feathers, enhanced by a few natural white and brown feathers. The front headband features a central blue and yellow circular pattern, surrounded by multicolored bead embroidery, typical of Native American craftsmanship.

The sculpture is designed to be viewed from the front, with an upright and dignified posture. The serious and attentive facial expression accentuates the solemn character of this representation. The visible materials evoke artisanal work, with attention paid to the details of textures and accessories.

The resin finish gives a slightly satiny appearance to the skin, contrasting with the matte of the feathers and the shine of the beads. No base is visible in the photo; the object appears to be designed to be placed or fixed on a vertical surface.

Condition

Used decorative object, sold as is. Some traces of wear may be present on the surface or accessories, consistent with the age and handling of this type of piece. The visible feathers and beads appear to be in good overall condition.

Did you know? Feather headdresses, often called "war bonnets," are traditionally worn by certain peoples of the Great Plains of North America. They are handcrafted, with each feather symbolizing an act of bravery or an important stage in the chief's life. The use of beads and geometric patterns is also characteristic of Native American craftsmanship.
