Description

This antique padlock features a robust structure with a brass-look finish, typical of mid-20th century industrial models. The visible side features a vertical plate marked "CITY" in relief, accompanied by the number "N° 28" engraved at the base. The key, inserted into the bottom of the padlock, also bears the inscription "CITY" and is distinguished by its round shape with a geometric pattern, matching the whole.

The padlock body is rectangular, with edges slightly softened by time. The surface shows a characteristic patina, with some visible traces of use, including slight scratches and superficial marks, which attest to its age and authenticity. The shackle, made of steel-look metal, is open in the photo and shows uniform wear, with no apparent deformation.

The key is perfectly matched to the padlock, both visually and functionally. Its design recalls French or European industrial productions from the first half of the 20th century, with a stylized Art Deco motif around the name "CITY". No other markings or logos are visible on the photographed side.
