Description

This lot features a mechanical watch dial from the Elvia brand, visible in capital letters at the center of the dial, surmounted by two stylized stars. The inscription "ANTI-CHOC" is also present below the central axis, indicating a shock-resistant model, a common characteristic of mechanical watches from the mid-20th century. The dial is round, with a patinated white finish and visible signs of wear on the surface, giving it an authentically vintage look.

The hours are indicated by large white Roman numerals on a black background, each framed by a raised gold medallion, forming a decorative crown around the edge. This motif, typical of antique watches, highlights the retro style of the piece. The hands, in an openwork style, are dark in color, with an intricate design reminiscent of classic wristwatches.

The dial is presented alone, without a case or glass, which reveals the details of the surface, as well as localized traces of oxidation or wear, particularly on the gold rim and the central area. No apparent mechanism or other watch elements are visible on this side.

The white background of the dial shows marks of time, accentuating its antique character. The ensemble gives the impression of an authentic piece to be restored or used for watchmaking projects, repair, or retro decoration.

The typography of the numerals, the use of gold and black, as well as the mention "ANTI-CHOC", are representative of French watch productions from the 1950s to the 1970s. The clearly legible Elvia brand was known for its robust and elegant mechanical watches during this period.
