Description

Antique Camex brand film camera, visible on the side of the lens. The camera has an angular structure, typical of portable cameras from the 1960s, combining a two-tone black and grey finish. The main body displays a grainy surface on the top, while the front part reveals an imposing lens, equipped with a large graduated rotating ring (visible adjustment range from 1.5 to 40, as well as various letters and numbers for aperture or focus). A large black lens hood is also visible on the front of the lens.

A metallic trigger is integrated on the upper part of the optical block, in addition to a silver control button placed on the upper right side of the body. Two indicator lights (red and transparent) are located on the top, probably for status indication or recording control. A standard tripod screw thread is visible on the side of the lens, with a screwed metal rod, typical of stabilization or remote control accessories.

The overall design, with its sober and industrial lines, evokes the utilitarian aesthetic of amateur film cameras from the mid-20th century. The visible side shows no digital screen or electronic interface, confirming a purely mechanical and optical technology, without digital function.

The device is presented in a three-quarter view, allowing observation of the lens profile, the top of the body, and the arrangement of the controls. No film, additional accessories, or carrying case are visible in the photo. The body's coating shows some signs of wear, particularly on the edges, but the overall appearance seems complete on the visible side.

The mention "Camex" on the lens ring attests to the brand, known for its film cameras from the 50s-70s. The numerical and lettered indications around the optics allow for precise shot adjustment, a distinctive feature of devices from this generation.
