Vintage Eumig Super 8 camera with retro case old Austria
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
Vintage film camera from the Eumig brand, Super 8 model, accompanied by its matching case visible in the photo. The device has a compact and angular shape, typical of portable cameras from the mid-20th century, with an integrated pistol grip and a clearly identifiable trigger button. The camera body features a two-tone finish: main parts in black with a grained texture and side elements in metallic gray, offering an elegant visual contrast and excellent grip.
On the side of the camera, the "eumig Super 8" logo is clearly visible, affixed to a rectangular plate. The black faux leather carrying strap, lined with beige, is attached to the camera, a sign of its original nomadic use. The lens and viewfinder are partially visible at the front and back, with no precise indications of their technical characteristics in this view.
The matching carrying case, also in a grained black finish, features a translucent plastic snap closure and a side handle. The case also bears the "eumig Super 8" logo, confirming the original set. The interior of the case is not visible in the photo.
The visible surfaces of the camera and case do not show any major defects, but there are some signs of use and a slight patina on the strap, typical of a used item from this era. No chips, cracks, or apparent missing parts on the visible surfaces.
This model evokes the design of portable cameras from the 60s-70s, a period when the Super 8 format experienced significant growth among individuals and amateur filmmakers, particularly in Europe. The presence of the "Super 8" logo and the graphic style correspond well to this period of technical and aesthetic innovation in photography and cinematic shooting.
