Description

This old postcard, visible in the photograph, consists of a handwritten correspondence card accompanied by its original envelope, franked with a blue 15 F (RF, female profile) stamp, with a partially legible postmark indicating "Vienne (Isère)" and dated to the 1950s (the writing style, stamp, and postmark clearly evoke the post-war period, typical of the 40s-50s). The envelope is addressed to "Mademoiselle Josette Cognat, Chemin de Charavel, Estrenin (Isère)".

The inserted card bears the printed header "Nicole MACABÉO" and a handwritten message in blue ink: "very happy to have learned of Josette's engagement and the brilliant success of..." (rest not visible). The neat cursive handwriting, characteristic of this era, testifies to formal and personal correspondence.

The blue Marianne stamp, with a face value of 15 F, is typical of the period, as is the card's format and the presentation of the handwritten address.
