Description

Here is an old display card of metal rings from the A. Raymond brand, originating from Grenoble, France. This set was originally intended for haberdashery or the manufacture of textile and leather goods. The cream-backed card with a blue border features a total of 25 visible metal rings, carefully fixed on their original cardboard support. Each ring is associated with a standardized numerical reference (e.g., 8/15, 10/14, 12/18, etc.) clearly printed under each model. The set is titled "Anneaux série normalisée - Acier nickelé" (Standardized ring series - Nickel-plated steel), which indicates a silver, shiny, and uniform visual finish on each piece.

The upper part of the card features the cartouche "Manufacture de Boutons et d’Articles Métalliques A. Raymond Grenoble" (A. Raymond Grenoble Button and Metal Articles Manufacturer), accompanied by two printed gold medals, testifying to the brand's recognition. The inscription "Acier nickelé" specifies the metal finish, confirmed by the smooth and shiny appearance of the rings. The support has a central hanging hole at the top, typical of haberdashery display boards from the mid-20th century.

The visible rings are perfectly round, with a clean and regular cut of the metal, varying in diameter from the smallest (top row) to the largest (bottom row). Each ring is held by two small metal hooks fixed to the card, allowing for good visibility of their shape and finish. The set offers a complete overview of the range offered at the time by the manufacturer A. Raymond.

The card itself shows slight signs of wear consistent with its age: slightly rounded corners, discrete marks on the cardboard, but the printing remains clear and legible. The rings display a uniform surface, without apparent oxidation or visible deformation on the presented side.

This type of item is typical of haberdashery supplies, often used for making bags, belts, clothing, or accessories requiring robust fasteners. The presentation on an original card adds decorative and historical interest, especially for collectors of old materials or vintage workshop decor.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Slight traces of wear on the support card, rings in very good visual condition on the visible side. See photo for exact condition.
