Description
This illustrated card is an authentic Japanese Carddass dedicated to the world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). The visible side shows a dynamic combat scene between Leonardo, identifiable by his blue mask and two katanas, and the character of Shredder, recognizable by his gray armor and characteristic helmet. The background evokes a brick wall, in a graphic style typical of animated series from the late 80s to early 90s.

In the upper part, the colorful "TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES" logo is clearly visible on a black and green background. The "2K WATER" logo is in the upper right corner. The bottom right corner features a yellow and red disc indicating "HIP 85", which refers to a point system often used in Carddass collections.

The left edge of the card is perforated with three round holes, typical of cards to be inserted into specific binders from the Bandai/Carddass range. Several Japanese inscriptions are present: under the main image, the text "レオナルドVSシュレッダー" (Leonardo VS Shredder) as well as a longer text box at the bottom of the card, printed on a black background with yellow characters. The entire visual is printed on a glossy surface, characteristic of Carddass collectible cards.

The card has a rectangular format with rounded corners, no dimensions indicated, with a dominance of vivid colors: blue, green, purple, gray, and yellow. No element of the back or edge is visible in the photo. The overall condition appears good to very good, with a shiny surface and little apparent wear, despite a slight curve visible on the lower right corner.

This card is part of the Japanese series released in the late 80s and early 90s, during the first wave of enthusiasm for Ninja Turtles in Japan. The number "40" appears under the main illustration, indicating the card's position in the Carddass collection.

They were available in dedicated vending machines and became a collecting phenomenon around many licenses, including the Ninja Turtles.
