Description

This French telephone card, known as a Télécarte, is a commemorative model issued for the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. The visible side features a graphic design marked by the number 8, referencing May 8, 1945, the date of Nazi Germany's surrender. Two silver medallions adorn the card: one bears the inscription "PAX" surrounded by the motto "Liberté Égalité Fraternité," while the other displays "100 Francs 8 MAI 1945 République Française 1995" in a strong, stylized typographic design.

The card displays dominant patriotic colors: red, white, and blue, evoking the French flag. The outline of the number 8 is emphasized by a large blue and white circle, against a vivid red background. The upper left corner mentions "Télécarte 50" in blue and red on a vertical white background, indicating a capacity of 50 units, typical for telephone cards of that period.

The golden electronic chip, visible at the top center, attests to the card's authenticity and original functionality. At the bottom of the card, the inscription "MAI 45 - MAI 95" highlights its commemorative dimension and the period covered by this special edition. The entire design is printed on a smooth surface, with a glossy finish characteristic of collectible Télécartes.

The design pays tribute to the peace regained after the war, through the word "PAX" and the strong symbolism of May 8. The graphic details, typography, and composition reflect an official production from the 1990s, typical of limited editions issued for major national anniversaries.

The card is displayed on a plain yellow fabric, which highlights its vibrant colors and commemorative aspect. No major defects are visible on the front; the chip and prints appear clear and well-preserved.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible front side is in very good condition, with no marked scratches or apparent defects. The chip appears intact. For any additional details, please refer to the photograph.
