Description

This telephone card, visible in the photo, is a 120-unit Télécarte, issued for the MINICOM service, in connection with France Télécom's Minitel. The visual features a cloudy blue background, the inscription "MINICOM" at the top, and the clearly legible "TAPEZ 3612" (DIAL 3612) in the center. To the right, a visual of a Minitel terminal is clearly represented, illustrating the use of this card in the context of 1990s French telecommunications. The characteristic golden chip is present on the left, typical of French smart cards from this period.

The visible side of this phone card boasts a graphic design typical of the era, with visual elements evoking technology and innovation. The bottom of the card reads: "Le service de correspondance par Minitel de France Télécom" (France Télécom's Minitel correspondence service), and a "TELECARTE 120" label specifies the card's capacity. The whole is printed on a cardboard support with a smooth, plastic-like finish, without explicit mention of the material.

The dominant colors are sky blue, white, and touches of black and gray for the text and the Minitel visual. No major defects are visible on the presented surface: the electronic chip shows no apparent wear and the corners appear sharp. The graphics remain bright and well preserved, without scratches or notable marks on the photographed area.

This telephone card, also called a télécarte or phonecard, is an emblematic testament to the history of French telecommunications. Its advertising design dedicated to the MINICOM service makes it particularly representative of the promotional campaigns around the Minitel, a flagship service of the 80s-90s in France.
