Description

This French telephone card, known as a "Télécarte," features an illustration of two wolves walking against a snowy background. The visual occupies most of the front, with natural colors and a realistic rendering, typical of 1990s advertising campaigns. At the top of the card, the inscription "NE LAISSEZ PAS UN RHUME VOUS GACHER LA VIE!" (DON'T LET A COLD RUIN YOUR LIFE!) is printed in black letters on a light background, giving the object a distinctly promotional character.

The upper left corner of the card has a gold chip, characteristic of smart telephone cards used in France in the 90s. In the lower right, the mention "Télécarte 50" indicates the card's capacity, which was 50 telephone communication units at the time of its use. The visible side shows no other distinctive markings related to a specific brand or date, but the overall graphics and printing technique clearly place the object in the 1990s period.

The card has rounded corners and a smooth surface, typical of smart cards of this generation. The illustration of the wolves, associated with the slogan, suggests an awareness or prevention campaign, probably related to health or well-being, a common theme on advertising telephone cards of that era.

The card is presented on a gold background, with no apparent accessories or packaging. No major defects are visible on the displayed side: the surface appears to be in good condition, with no noticeable scratches, chips, or obvious signs of wear in the photographed area.

Condition

Used item sold as is. Only the front side is visible in the photo; the condition of the back is not described. The visible surface appears well-preserved, with clear printing and no major apparent alteration.

Did you know? Smart telephone cards were introduced in France in the early 1980s and became a popular advertising medium in the 1990s. Some thematic series, such as those illustrating animals or disseminating health messages, are now sought after for their historical and graphic value.
